Can't. Get. Started.

I don't know when I turned into such a procrastinator. I think about what I want to do, but can't seem to get moving. (not just quilting, either!) I read blogs, my Yahoo groups, and books, but just don't have the energy to sew. When I can't get to the machine, there are lots of things I'd love to do. But when I have the time, I just don't do it.

I need a jump start. Any ideas?

I wish I could help, Lois. Unfortunately, I often find myself in the same boat you're in. However, you did mention health problems, and my husband is constantly reminding me that I have health issues to deal with right now, and I'm sure that has a lot to do with my lack of energy/motivation. It may also be a big reason you can't get charged up. Just hang in there. Maybe prep is quick and easy hand work to mess with in between readings LOL. Pull those quilt books that we've invested our retirement in ROFL and magazines too, and add those to your reading pile. Whatever you do, try not to fret about it too much. My Mom always used to tell me "this too shall pass" and she was always right (darn it! LOL).
Hugs, Angie

Sometimes I feel like I just need to start something quick and a bit mindless to jumpstart myself. One of my favorites is the scrappy bargello quilt on Quiltville -- just pull out strips of a mix of stuff (I always throw in a couple of uglies, and they seem to disappear...) and start sewing!

Or -- wait for the weather change while enjoying some good books!
Cheers!
